The Hermitage

The Hermitage is a charming Georgian style country house, with some parts of it dating back to the 16th Century, set in it‘s own gardens and grounds.

We are situated in the village of Box which is just 6 miles north east of Bath via the A4. We have plenty of guest parking available on the drive in our grounds.

Our rooms

All rooms have en-suite shower and toilet, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Two of the bedrooms are in a lodge in our grounds and may be used for self catering if you are staying for several days.

The house

There is a lounge and dining room with a high vaulted ceiling exclusively for our guests use where we offer a wide choice of menu at breakfast time including a full English breakfast with vegetarian options.

Pool

There is an outdoor swimming pool, in the gardens, open from May to at least August. It is heated to around 80ºF and is an ideal way to relax after a long day‘s sightseeing.

Around and about

There are several pubs in Box where good food is available, however should you wish to eat out in Bath we have sample menus of many restaurants.

We have maps available showing the car parking, sights and restaurants available in Bath and there is a regular half hourly bus service to and from the city should you wish to forget about your car for a day.
